What a great event!

Ryan’s Cases for Smiles was a great success at our RV park! We had a constant flow of volunteers all day long from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m.! It was a great day of ironing, assembling, cutting and sewing! We had music going from the 60’s so many were singing along with old tunes.

We ended up with 67 pillowcases from my fabric I donated and we have more yet to finish! We are asking for some donations from other people as the volunteers are ready to sew! The women really enjoyed making the Burrito Pillowcase pattern even though there very a few bumps in the road! If you’ve ever made one before, the directions don’t make a lot of sense, you just have to follow them and voila! You have a beautiful pillowcase with french seams! Many of the women stated they had looked at these pillowcases many times before and couldn’t figure out how they had been done, now they know!

I’m really happy with the results of my donation and hope this is something that grows with our group. If you ever feel like starting a group like I did, find a drop off center at http://caseforsmiles.org/get-involved/#us

Enjoy every day, as we love to create no matter who likes it or doesn’t, we loved making it for them!
