Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

I hope this finds all of you in the holiday spirit and aren’t frantically trying to finish projects. This year was easier for me as I only made 3 stocking for my daughter’s family and one pair of striped PJ’s.  It might sound like an easy job but my daughter wanted the same stocking which I made her in 1981! She sent me all the measurements and I found some cross stitch designs and lettering to put on the tops! They turned out real nice.

Downloading free fonts on Facebook

Do any of you download the daily fonts that are found on Facebook?  I do! I download from Simple Delight, Whimsical Whims Embroidery, Hatched in Africa and Annie Liebenberg. I have always thought I would have to have my laptop with me as most are immediate downloads but I learned something new today, you can download from your phone! This makes life a lot easier  when traveling. If you have ever tried to do this, you would notice all you get is coding. Well, somewhere on your screen are 3 dots (on an iphone they are in the right corner). Click on those dots and you can choose where to save the document. Anywhere like google drive, microsoft’s drive or something like Dropbox. Personally, I love dropbox, but that’s another story. So, when you do get to your laptop, you can just copy the files to your folder where you are storing your designs.

Dropbox

How many of you use or know about dropbox? This is a free file storage. I love it as I can share folders with my husband and my family members. I have all my recipes in a folder called “Cathy’s Recipes”. I’ve given my family access to this folder. Besides sharing folders, I love it for the grocery store since I can open my recipe folder and get what is needed. Another great option is to save your working designs in a folder from one computer to another. You can also find these files on your scan n cut as long as you have setup the wireless fab from the program  Pacesetter PES4.

Sara Vedelers helpful hints

Are any of you following Sara Vedelers 40 days of embroidery tips? She is at day 15 today and has some wonderful tips for using the Brother scan n cut or cricket machines to cut out your designs when using applique as your design. It’s a great article as have the ones for the past 14 days. Check them out!

Have  a great holiday, and as always,

Enjoy every day, as we love to create no matter who likes it or doesn’t, we loved making it for them!
